Welcome !
I started fly fishing in 1978. In 1985, I started to write articles about fly-tying and fly-fishing for French magazines. I set up Rilap in 1988, and I have been selling fly-fishing gear since then. Fly-fishing is my passion. I am currently distributing several brands into France through fishing tackle shops and larger stores. I took the decision of having a web site the very first day I heard of the Internet. However, it was not until late 1998 that I acquired the tools for creating my web site by myself. I found that the cost of having it made by someone else was prohibitive, and I was a bit skeptical about the business such a web site could then generate. I launched this web site in September 1999, after about 9 months of research and page making. It has been an ever-growing business since then.
I had always wished to do my web site in English to make it understandable to the majority of visitors, but the French law imposes the French to do at least a French version of their web site in French. As doing a web site is very much time consuming, it took me a very long time before I could even start an English version of it. Here it is, with many missing links at the time being, but it will build up little by little as time goes by. In the meantime, you can always have a look at the more complete French version, and if you do not understand French, you may have it translated by Babelfish. The translation will not be very good; still it will be better than nothing.
As you have already understood it, English is not my mother language, and you will certainly find many mistakes, misspelling and broken links. Please do not hesitate to help me when you find such mistakes. In return, I shall be happy to offer you a voucher that will give you a 10% discount on the overall value of your future order. |
